InterPlay presents work by emerging artists,
designers, and researchers currently enrolled at UAL Creative Computing Institute's postgraduate
courses. Rather than treating technology as a neutral tool, this exhibition examines the
conversation present between artistic expression and technology.
Exhibitors identify with
a diverse pool of professional backgrounds: music and audio, software engineering, computer
vision, robotics, HCI, UX/UI, interaction design, game development, graphic design, fine arts,
philosophy, spatial design, and AI.
Witness and interact with the next generation's
responses to our contemporary world, addressing themes such as the anthropocene, IoT, hidden
worlds, vulnerability, ontology, memory, classification, community, and migration. This
collection exemplifies collaboration, not only between global creatives originating across five
continents, but also among circuitry, scripting, bodies, and play.
This exhibition
invites you to participate in the InterPlay ecosystem–to play within the latent space of
humanity and technology. Whether through technologies such as TouchDesigner or Unity, p5.js or
physical computing, these works guide our understanding of reality with technology as material.
InterPlay invites visitors to explore the mystique located at this intersection.
